History

Mark and Leslie Dollar met over twenty years ago as students at Ashbury University. Soon after marriage in 1994 the two began developing a vision and strategy to see the youth of this generation rise to take their place as leaders in their homes, schools and communities. Their heart has continued to focus on making a life changing difference in young people through the open arms of love, acceptance, integrity, consistency and faith.

The couple began with just opening their home to a few young people in need actually sleeping on their living room floor. From then til now, the doors to their home have never closed.

Hundreds of hurting young people through the years have found a place of refuge and rest in the Dollars home. At any given week there are as many as 15-20 students staying at the Dollar complex as either residents or interns, receiving love, acceptance, training and equipping to help them handle the challenges they face.

The Adullam Youth has developed into a complete youth outreach providing dorms, outreach programs, tutoring, mentoring and counseling for today’s hurting young people. The goal for the Dollars is now what it has always been, to reach out to a fatherless generations and draw them into to a place of rest and refuge.

The Dollars also have 6 children of their own, Caroline, Molly, Abigail, Eli, Zeke and Bella.
